I tried to downgrade my Opera Browser to the previous version because a helper in the Opera GX discord community suggested me to try that solution, so I did. I can try to use Opera GX only if I don't stay on the starting page for too long, but it will still eventually freeze nevertheless. For instance, I typed in random gibberish words on the search bar, and the browser freezes. Also, if I try to search for something, it begins to lag and at some point, it'd completely freeze. But, if I manage to quickly switch to another tab (Like settings or any pages except for the starting page), I wouldn't lag until at some point it slowly starts to freeze as I hover over my bookmarks to see if my browser is lagging or not. the symptoms are shown in the video I attached but to explain, whenever I open Opera GX it begins to lag tremendously especially when I am on the starting page. My Opera GX has been lagging since the 23rd of January.
No, the search bar isn't the issue that I am lagging tremendously, I've tried to change my search engine several times which wasn't effective. And also, I've recently made the same report regarding this issue, but apparently, the issue is with the search bar. Ok I'm just going to post this here as well because I'm desperateīefore I start, I would like to state that I have tried all the solutions to fix this issue.
